The 19th century built Taj Falaknuma Palace, also known as the ‘Mirror of the Sky’, overlooking the city of Hyderabad, India, has just been restored to its full glory. Once a residence of the wealthy Nizam dynasty, which ruled for over two centuries, the opulent palace was closed for 30 years before Taj Hotels restored it meticulously reopening as a leading hotel of the world.

The Cement Factory in Barcelona, Spain, is a project which was completed in 1975. Ricardo Bofill found the disused factory and within two years renovated it into architecture offices, gallery, living space and guest house to create this cement xanadu.
